Operation Organization - Me & The Shady Porch
The great thing about organizing anything for me is that it leads to organizing other things. Organizing my work area led to organizing my storage area; organizing my pots and pans led to organizing my cooking utensils. As I have made progress, "Operation Organization" has brought me to a point of organizing my priorities in some unexpected areas, like the role "The Shady Porch" will have in the coming months.
When I started this blog - nearly one year ago - I had some apprehension about it because of the time I knew it would take to make it what I wanted it to be. Plainly put, I woefully underestimated the time commitment. My schedule was already filled with taking care of our home and working as my hubby's aide for the classes he teaches and takes. Additionally, in the spring, I am the track statistician for his boys and girls teams. Add to that all that blogging entails and I am no longer feeling like I do anything well. Everything feels frenzied and I do not like that feeling.

The fun of blogging has diminished as my duties increased and I have decided to take the summer off startingMay 25th now. I need to reevaluate priorities and, while the hubby has summer off from school as a teacher (not as a student, unfortunately), I want spend time with him and focus on projects that we want to accomplish together. Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue the weekly Rock 'N Share linky party after all. In light of this late announcement, I will put it up on Wednesday but that will be the last Rock 'N Share party while I'm on summer break.
This is hard for me because I hate feeling like I am disappointing anyone. I am not saying goodbye because I hate those, too. I must say thank you to all of you that have been so kind and helpful to me. I am thankful for all of the wonderful friends and acquaintances this past year. Many I believe are God-ordained friendships that bless me richly. I hope in some way I have been an encourager to you as you've been to me. I will still be accessible via my email account, in the event you want to talk and you will always be in my prayers.
